Bearing dreams of other worlds,
we break off bits of atmosphere,
sew sustaining suits for space,
shoot our canisters of curiosity
into the infinite emptiness beyond.
Weightless, we wander the starry waste,
tied forever to our blue marble home,
dreamers of the universe.
