Favourites

Insects are bottom of the list
of human favourites;
mammals, reptiles, we’d rather have kissed
but with bugs we wouldn’t savour it.
It’s in the eyes, the largest in the book,
so little kittens win,
yet the mantis has pupils, we can see him look.
Of all six-leggers, I’d let him in.
