20220217 sort of acceptance
February 17, 2022, 2:30pm
Okay, had to share this. After my recent rejection based on a new employee's belief system, in a complete opposite situation, I have had an in-principle acceptance of a long work, based on 2 completed chapters so far. It came through via email this morning, I replied to get clarification, I received what I want, and agreed, signing a "first look" contract. Mid-sized publisher, book, e-book, audiobook all in the contract. Just got the big, "Go for it!"
What am I writing?
I am taking the KJV Book Of Genesis and adding humorous, yet realistic commentary. It is bound to upset many Fundamentalists, but the idea is to look at the book critically and this is the best way I thought of to do it. The publisher loves it. He wants me to add more humour, and/or make the commentary funnier, and keep going until I finish the entire Genesis. No time limit (though obviously, not years away).
Anyway, acceptances can come in many shapes and forms.
