Celebrating the two hundredth Anniversaries of The Birth of Baha'u'llah and The Bab |
Meditation on Seven Divine Attributes: To 'Abdu'l-Baha Inspired by the English translations of the days of the week of the Baha'i calendar: Glory, Beauty, Perfection, Grace, Justice, Majesty, and Independence. It was the aroma of spirituality that accompanied him to every function he attended and in his daily efforts to help the poor and the disenfranchised. He was the flawless mirror reflecting to humanity the attributes of divinity that Baha'u'llah showered upon him from the spiritual realm. Through word and action he proclaimed the Glory of God1 from east to west. He spread the teachings of the Blessed Beauty2, by demonstrating spiritual perfection, as the Perfect Exemplar of Baha'u'llah's revelation. He displayed grace in the prayers he reveals, through the talks he gave, and the books he wrote. In God's sight, the best beloved of all things is justice, which 'Abdu'l-Baha practiced in all his dealings with his fellow man. In servitude to humanity, he revealed the essence of majesty. He showed us what independence of all save God is. Poet's Note: ▼ Footnotes |
