Wonderful World
Wonderful World
What a wonderful man,
that great grin spread across his face,
beaming with love for everyone,
the rich, embracing voice,
teaching us the beauty of the carpenter’s rasp,
singing of the simple things
beyond the cares of man,
smiling the words of his life,
the means to his fame, the trumpet,
attached to his hand as though welded,
a bright angel soul of sound.
Ah, Louis, as your arm was strong,
so much more was your spirit,
among the saints now seated in glory.
