Genethliacum Ode
To the Birth of 'Abdu'l-Baha

Born at the hour of midnight
in the city of Tehran
he was destined to become
the moon reflecting
the light
of Baha'u'llah.

His footsteps were destined
to doubly bless
the ground upon which he walk
in his travels to proclaim
peace and unity
to humanity.
