A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
An Extremely Busy Thursday Despite it being so busy at work yesterday, I got seven scenes written for the second part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Seven may not read like a lot to most. But it is for me. Especially, since I wrote them at work. it was also extremely busy there. Put those two together and seven is a very, very good day. At least I think that it is. That means I wrote seven scenes yesterday at work. And none of them were Establishing Shots. They were all numeric scenes. Two were nineteen lines, seconds, long. And two others were fifteen seconds, lines, each. While three of them were thirteen lines, seconds. That equals one hundred and seven seconds, lines, for those seven scenes total. About one and a half times that for written lines. So, that will equal about one hundred and sixty lines written yesterday. That equals about twenty lines per hour or three minutes per hour. True, that doesn’t read very well either. But since I was doing it at work it’s not that bad. Especially, considering how busy it was there. So, how busy was it? It was one of the busiest Thursdays that I have had in a long time. If it wasn’t the busiest. And if it wasn’t, it was a close second. That’s how busy it was. I was on my feet a whole lot yesterday. Especially, in the first and last two hours yesterday. It wasn’t as bad during the other four hours. But it was still very busy. I just wasn’t on my feet as much during those four hours. Why was I on my feet so much? What is the usual reason why I’m on my feet at work? that’s right. It’s because I’m outside my guard post. And I was out of it a whole lot yesterday. Normally, I’m inside my post about three or four times as I am outside of it. But yesterday it was almost the opposite. That’s how busy that it was. Today I hope that it will be about the same as yesterday. If not a little bit better. No, I’m not talking about work. I want it to be a lot less than yesterday. What I hope is the same or better is my writing. I’m hoping it will be the same or better than yesterday. A lot of that depends on how busy it gets at work today. Then again, it might not. After all, it was very busy yesterday and I did seven. There’s no reason why I can’t do it again. Whether I get seven, a little less, or a bit more, I’m going to get as many of them that I can get written for this project.
