Only Five Friday

No, I didn’t just get five scenes written for the second part of my movie for my Water Wars project because of another Incident Report that I had to write. But it is because of work. Both where I work and who I work for. They are both responsible for me not getting more written on this project.

The worksite is responsible because it was extremely busy yesterday at work. A lot busier than it has been the last few months. Maybe it’s because summer is almost over. It may also be because of the construction that’s going on there. Whatever the reason, it was very busy there. Especially, when it came to me leaving my guard post. I did that a whole lot yesterday at work.

As for who I work for, they are only responsible because of the guard who relieves me. He comes in about forty-five minutes to an hour early. And when he does that, I can’t do any more writing for that day. If not for him coming in so early, I could have gotten one more scene written. Probably two or three of them. Unfortunately, he’s coming in tonight too. This means one to three fewer scenes for today too.

I would like to get seven to ten scenes written today. And since this is a Saturday that is possible. There are only two problems with that. One is my replacement. And the other one is because of what has been happening lately. It used to be that on the weekends I could do more than during the weekdays. But it hasn’t been like that in a long time.

It has been just the opposite of that lately. The weekdays have been more productive than the weekends. I hope that changes starting this weekend. But I doubt that it will. If I’m lucky, I may get five or six scenes written. I’m not even going to count on that until it happens, though.
