A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Another Very Serious Re-Write I must be getting old and forgetful. Because I remembered Act Two all wrong. At least I did when it comes to Hoolle. A little bit with Chaad too. Maybe even some with Suuri. Suuri not as much. If at all. But Chaad is the main focus of Act Two. So, he will be affected some. Especially, toward the end of this Act. What I originally remember from Act Two in my Scene Outline is correct. But when I started writing Act Two that memory somehow got discorded. As a result, I ended up writing Act One all over again. At least I did for Hoolle. The situation was slightly different. But the outcome was the same. Unfortunately, I didn’t remember it correctly until I finished doing the re-writes from yesterday that I messed up on. I had just finished writing my Establishing Shots for Act Three when I was interrupted with another Incident Report that I had to write. While I was writing that, my mind drifted. And I remembered what Act Two was really supposed to be about. The destruction of Ultimate Confinement. That’s right. I had to write another IR. That is partially why I only got six scenes written yesterday at work. two of them were the re-writes, two were the Establishing Shots for Act Three, and two were for the first two scenes of Act Three. I probably would have gotten one or two more written if I didn’t have to write up that IR. It most likely would have been two more. What does that mean for the second part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project? It means that I’m going to be fixing Act Two today at work. And it means that I’m going to be doing a whole lot of erasing too. Of course, re-writes like these would be as big of a problem if I could bring my laptop to work as everyone else can. But I can’t do that. So, I must do it the old fashion way.
