It’s Mostly My Fault

I only got six scenes written yesterday at work for the second part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. And one of them was an Establishing shot. True, six during the weekdays isn’t all that bad. Especially, if it’s very busy on that day. And it was extremely busy yesterday at work.

Almost from the time that I got there until my shift ended it was very busy. Not one of the busiest ones that I have seen in a long time. But probably a very close second. That’s how busy that it was yesterday at work. And that did slow me down a little bit when it comes to my writing. But it didn’t slow me down that much, though.

The construction going on at my normal post didn’t slow my writing down either. Nor did the alarm tester or the fire alarm tester. All three happened yesterday at work. The two testers weren’t there very long. And those doing the construction weren’t there too much longer than them. So, none of them were the cause of me not getting more written on this project.

It was mostly because of me that is the reason why I didn’t get a little bit more writing done yesterday at work. the rest of it that I have written about above may have contributed to it some. But most of it is my fault. It was a lack of concentration. I had a lot of trouble concentrating on my writing yesterday at work.

Not my normal lack of concentration, though. This time it was because of what I was watching on my cell phone. I concentrated on that more than my writing. Of course, I did do some writing during what I was watching. But it slowed me down a whole lot. Especially, since what I watched were comedies and an animated movie that I haven’t seen in a very long time.

Today, I don’t know what I’m going to watch on my cell phone. But it’s not going to be what I watched yesterday. Even though I could continue watching the comedy shows. I think I will pass on them for a few more days before I watch them again. If it’s not a little or a lot longer than that.

Of course, that all depends on how busy it gets at work today. And if they continue working on the construction. Both may interfere with my writing. I hope that I can get a lot of writing done today at work. another five to ten would be great. Especially, if it’s closer to ten or more. But even if it’s five to ten, I’m going to get as much writing as I can do today.
