The Slithering Son
Son Michaels was about to jump in to the hole when he heard a loud bang somewhere off to his right. when he turned to investigate he noticed something had blown a large crater in the gnarled old apple tree that dominated this part of the garden. he was about to go back to his assigned task when Son noticed a chain dangling from the aperture.
