Not Good for a Saturday
Not Good for a Saturday

It should have been a lot more than seven scenes written for the first part of the movie for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. Especially, only one of those scenes was an Establishing Shot. Two of them were nineteen lines long aka nineteen seconds. And two more that were fifteen lines. The last two were thirteen seconds. That’s a total of ninety-four lines aka seconds that I wrote yesterday at work.

Looking at it like that, ninety-four seconds aka lines in eight hours isn’t that bad. It’s still not very good since that’s only about eleven lines or seconds per hour. During the week that may be okay. But on the weekend, it should be a lot more than that. I would like it to be double that. But even ten to fifteen scenes would have been better than seven that I did get yesterday at work.

Why didn’t I get more written? What is the normal reason why I don’t get as much written as I should have gotten written? That’s right. It’s because of work. a lot of time it’s because of Incident Reports, who I work for, or the weather. But yesterday it was because of how busy it was there.

The weather wasn’t supposed to be bad. But it was a brief downpour for a few minutes, though. And of course, that was when I should have gone outside my guard post to work. I didn’t do that because it wasn’t supposed to rain yesterday at work. So, I didn’t bring my heavy winter coat to work yesterday. That’s right. I have to wear a heavy coat during rainy weather while everyone else gets to use the raincoats that are there.

True, the weather was a minor problem. But the main one was how busy that it was at work yesterday. Normally, it isn’t too busy there. Yesterday it was very busy. In fact, it was one of the busiest Saturdays that I have seen in a long time. I know that it’s that time of year when it does get very busy at work. But even during this time, it doesn’t usually get this busy. Yesterday it did, though.

Between how busy it was at work yesterday and the weather, I’m kind of surprised that I got as much writing as I did get done on this project. I’m happy that I did that many. But I’m surprised that I did. I just hope that I can get that many written today. Of course, I would like to get a lot more written. But if I can get six to eight scenes written, I will be happy.
