They are Trying to Kill Me Again
They are Trying to Kill Me Again

Yes, I know how this blog title reads. That I’m crazy. I’m being paranoid. But statements are true. I have never denied being crazy. As for being paranoid, I have never said that I wasn’t. but just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean that I’m not right about what happened at work yesterday.

The original title for this blog entry was going to be ‘Working in a Steam Room’ because that is what I did at work yesterday. But I thought that the above title would be better. After all, it just wasn’t because of the steam room problem. It was also what happened besides that. And it started almost the second I started work yesterday.

I was working in a steam room all day yesterday for eight hours. Did they come out to fix the Air Conditioning? No, they did not. They didn’t even try to do it. If it wasn’t for a portable fan that I have been bringing for about a month now because of the hot very weather we have been having, I probably would have passed out or died because of it. Either way, I wouldn’t have fired from that post at the very least because of sleeping on the job.

Like I wrote above, the steam room wasn’t the only thing that I had to deal with yesterday at work. I also had a lot of problems with work. Not only was it very busy, but I had a whole lot of Incident Reports that I should have written up yesterday. About half of my work yesterday resulted in an IR. Especially, during the first six hours of my shift. Which is when it’s the hottest.

No, I didn’t write up any IRs. That’s because I’m not allowed to do that anymore. I’m supposed to let work do whatever they want to do. I don’t know what I’m going to do about that. Because I hate writing up IRs. And even if I do write one up, it’s going to be ignored, misplaced, or never gotten. So, why should I write them up anyway? It just takes time away from my writing.

Should I write them up anyway? And just not turn them in or should I just not do them at all. I still haven’t decided what I’m going to do about them yet. Why am I ranting and raving about what happened at work yesterday? It’s because of my writing. And how much of it I didn’t get written at work yesterday.

I only got seven scenes written yesterday at work. And three of them were Establishing Shots scenes. So, I only really got four (numeric) scenes written. I write (numeric) because that is what they are. In my Scene Outline, I do number my scenes. But in my scripts, I don’t. Well, that isn’t exactly true. I do number them in my scripts too. But that’s only because I’m handwriting them. When I write the scripts up on my laptop, I will not be doing any numbering.

I’m hoping that I will do a lot better today with my writing. I will still have the steam room problem to deal with. And the IRs that will be a problem too. But whatever they throw at me next, it doesn’t matter. It’s not going to stop me from getting as much writing as I can do today too.
