Revelation 22:12-14

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Explain these verses.

So.....I read the whole chapter, again. The last chapter in the story sums up the rewards, both good and bad. Jesus in the flesh left the earth. The Holy Spirit arrived to reside with us.

Believers are grafted into the tree of life. I have a gardening book that shows how to graft branches onto different plants. There is an apple tree in my back yard that is over 100 years and has been grafted. The graft is a complete addition to the tree and bears fruit. Grafting is an ancient art.

The angel said. "worship god." I think the whole chapter explains itself. God's value system is embedded into the earth. It is an inescapable value system. The freedoms of living, people chase are founded on the values set forth in scripture. People who ignore them are risking more than they can physically see. Humans are imprinted with the value system of the Lord.
