EE-3: Fivepence for One, Twopence for Two
What item would you be willing to pay full price for instead of getting the 'deal/sale' price? And why is that item so important to you?

I buy yarn at full price. I don't like to do it, but if I want to knit with the good stuff (like silk and merino wool and cashmere and alpaca), they're rarely on sale. I buy a lot of yarn from our local yarn store, but I'll also buy online, especially if it is a brand that I like in a color that I desperately want.

My most recent yarn purchase was at around Christmas time. My LYS (local yarn store) doesn't carry gradient yarns in lace weight, and that's what I wanted, so I went online and found something at Webs (www.yarn.com). We bought several things. Some of it was on sale, but the yarn I wanted wasn't, but we bought it anyway because I wanted it a lot. And I made a shawl with it that I love.

I would buy that yarn again, no question. It was fun to knit with, didn't have any quality issues, and made a lovely shawl.
