} This week we are moving to Proverbs 12. If you all grow weary of Proverbs let me know. Proverbs 12:3 says "No one finds security by wickedness, but the root of the righteous will never be moved." Solomon is not referring to material security here. We all know some very wicked people who are financially very secure. What Solomon is talking about here is the security of heaven and oneness with God. He is also talking about peace of mind and contentment. Wicked people are often paranoid and guilt-ridden. Believers are usually calm in the face of adversity. I have had people ask me how I could be so calm when I was in danger. When my kidney was on the verge of rupturing due to a blockage I remained calm. The doctor scratched his head in amazement for he knew I was in a great deal of pain. He asked me about it. I told him that nothing on earth was permanent and that if I was to die Jesus was in control. "Prompt: While cruising the galaxy, I found this planet:
What are your views about this?" I have to agree with this sentiment. If we simply open our eyes and look we will find that life has a lot to offer. Jesus offers us even more. Jesus said that He came that we "might have life and have it more abundantly." "Prompt: Write about some good news in your life, your town, your city, or your country." The good news is that no matter who is in the white house, Jesus is still on the throne. "Prompt: What future imagined event in 2021 scares you the most and what event would make you happier?" Joe Biden being impeached or dying scares me because Kamala Harris would be president. The event that would make me happiest is the return of Jesus. |
