I'm Not Shocked About This{/right}

Another triple extremely yesterday at work. That’s how bad and busy that it was there yesterday. In fact, it was so busy that I had to work an extra twenty minutes just to get my paperwork updated and finished. Of course, I wouldn’t have had that problem if I didn’t have to do it like everyone else who works at that post.

I didn’t think that Thursday this week couldn’t have gotten worse. Unfortunately, I was extremely wrong about that. it was at least two times as bad as it was on Thursday. From the beginning of my shift to the end of it, I was almost constantly on my feet going from one side of my old new post to the other. The only time I got to sit down was to work on my paperwork. And that wasn’t enough time. That’s why I had to work twenty minutes beyond my shift.

Speaking of the paperwork that I must do at the beginning of my shift. It took me almost six hours to finish it yesterday at work. That’s at least two hours longer than it normally takes. Three hours more if I’m lucky. Unfortunately, I haven’t been that lucky the last few weeks. And this week was the worse so far.

Why was it so busy yesterday at work? There are several possible answers to that question. One is it’s that time of years at the site where I work. Another answer is that it’s exactly one week before Christmas. And this is the last weekend to get whatever you need or want to get. That’s another answer to this question. With only a week away, it could either get very busy or very slow this next week.

This week has been extremely busy. at least it has been for me. So, it could be just as busy next week. If it’s not even busier next week. Then again, it may not be. After all, who knows what they are going to do next week. It all depends if they let employees have time with their family and friends or if they are going to be like Scrooge. My guess is that it’s going to be the latter one.

I’m hoping that I’m wrong about my guess. I want them to close down this site for the next week or two because of the holiday. But I know that’s not going to happen. If anything, it will be just the opposite of that. They may get a day or two off besides Christmas. Then again, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if they didn’t get any days off. We must work on Christmas. So, why can’t they?
