Title: On The Sunny Side of The Street

Lyrics1

Grab your coat and get your hat
Leave your worry on the doorstep
Just direct your feet
To the sunny side of the street

Can't you hear a pitterpat?
And that happy tune is your step
Life can be so sweet
On the sunny side of the street

I used to walk in the shade
With those blues on parade
But I'm not afraid
This rover crossed over

If I never have a cent
I'll be rich as Rockefeller
Gold dust at my feet
On the sunny side of the street

I'm attempting very hard to remain on "The Sunny Side of the Street". I'm not sure how good a job I'm doing. Right now I want to cry, but I don't think it would do any good. Therefore, I will push forward with everything I have to do. I know that my taste in music isn't everybody's taste, but I'm sure it isn't crap either. Oh well, I just have to deal with things the way they are until I have some bills paid off and can find a Senior Citizens place that I can afford.

I'd forgotten how much I enjoy listening to Dizzy Gillespie until I read the article How Dizzy Gillespie and Jazz Changed America  Open in new Window. From the Editors of BahaiTeachings.org. The article gives links to several different pieces by Mr. Gillespie, none of which I chose to feature in this entry. I'm not sure why I picked "The Sunny Side of the Street", maybe it had something to do with the way I've been feeling lately. It's an upbeat song and those types of songs usually change my mood.

Weariness sets in
the music helps a little:
I still want to cry.
