Day 27 of the 30 day blogging challenge. If I were you....
Oh, don’t you love advice, especially unsolicited!
I have found the phrase, “ you can’t put an old head on young shoulders,” is an especially true one.
I received advice when I was a young person, which I totally ignored, and so have all my children. They made their own mistakes and learned through them the hard way. It is a shame that we all have to do that, we could be spared a lot of heartache if only we’d just listen.

However these days as an older, hopefully wiser person, I do listen to good advice. I weigh it up and utilise it, if it’s useful and has merit.

Sometimes it’s difficult to act on advice you know is good, because the heart is involved. It takes a lot to stand by and watch a child, even an adult one, keep making the same mistakes over again without feeling the need to rescue. The advice is to walk away. Not sure it’s possible.
