What it says

The 30 DBC prompt is "Pick one of the following scenarios and expand on it: 1) An animal you can humanely wear while it's still alive; or 2) A house you can live comfortably in that is made entirely of edible materials. "

Well I know this is creation Saturday, which means I'm supposed to use imagination in my post. In my own way I'm going to do just that. At the same time I'm going to explain ways of doing both of these things in reality. I'll start with the animals. One animal that could definitely be worn while still alive though I personally wouldn't be caught within 100 yards is a boa constrictor. I see people doing it all the time. They drape the boa around themselves like a scarf. I always think to myself that for their sake I hope it doesn't get hungry or upset.

Another animal or set of animals one could wear would be the smaller animals. A friend once had a pet skunk. The scent bag had been removed. You could pick it up and it would wrap around your neck, keeping you warm even when other skunks were hibernating. I've done the same thing with house cats which were tame and would permit it. Hold their leg gently and they make a good scarf.

Now for the edible house. My dad's cousin's once had a house that they literally ate. You would think it was vegetables or fruit right? No. It was made completely of plain white paper, water based paints and egg coloring, and Elmer's glue. The glue is actually made from horse bones so it's edible. It may not be appetizing but it is edible. Their playhouse was 15 by 10 so while it was small one could have lived in it. It was nearly 9 feet tall. I know it was edible because those two jokers and their friends chewed it into spit balls, eating most of them! One must remember that paper is made from wood pulp and is edible, though the ink in lined paper can be harmful.
