The Myth About Invasions

I wasn't sure what I was going to write about today. Then all of a sudden I came up with one. Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of Invasion of Earth Movies and Television shows. It makes me laugh how wrong they are about them. Especially, the ones involving giant insects.

The same is true about Short Stories and Novels. But you don't read too many stories about invasions from them. They are mostly about colonizations and exploration. The only ones that I can think of right now are 'Battleship' and 'Battleship: Earth.' Both have been made into movies. Battleship wasn't pretty good. But Battleship: Earth was a big disappointment to me. It didn't resemble the Novel at all except for some of the main characters in it and the overall plot.

There are quite a few planets out there that could invade us if they wanted to. But they don't. They have the technology and are advanced enough to do it but like most of our stories they are interested more in exploration and colonizations than conquest. These planets aren't interested at all in conquest.

There are a few planets, races, who are. But they don't have the technology to do it. At least they didn't about forty years ago. It might have changed some. But not that much. They probably have space travel by now but like us, they are barely into space exploration. We don't have to worry about them invading us. By the time they have the ability to do it, we will be able to stop them. If they do chose to invade us. Which is very unlikely.

We don't have anything to worry about. We're not in any danger of invasion for at least three thousand years. There are going to be a lot of changes since then. Two of them aren't nuclear destruction or a plague. Of course, if I am wrong about this we won't be around for you to 'tell me so.'
