Mel Blanc a gifted Gemini
Prompt : Last prompt of the month . Motivational Monday! A number of popular artists or bands have members who were born on May 30th. Pick one of your faves . Make them (even more) famous in your blog.
So I Googled famous birthdays du jour , and I discovered that The Man With a Thousand Voices, Mel Blanc, was born today in 1908. He was a voice actor, fancy title for the person behind cartoon characters. He brought Porky Pig, Bugs Bunny,Daffy Duck, and Tweety Bird to glorious raucous life. These were some of the first cartoons I remember viewing and liking as a child. Every noon hour when I came home from school for my lunch, The Flintstones were playing on the boob tube. I've just learned that Mel voiced Barney Rubble.
Born Melvin Jerome Blank ,Mel voiced the characters of many cartoons and movies. The Jetsons, Woody Woodpecker , and Who Framed Roger Rabbit were also a part of his repertoire. What a fun and creative career he enjoyed . He made all of these creatures/people unique.
Imagine Mel as a mosquito, perhaps McBuggy or McItchy ? He could whine, buzz, hum, flicker and flit . Together with his fellow insect , Bloody Blackfly ,they encounter plenty of people to annoy and feast upon. Their adventures would include close encounters with repellents , swatters, zappers, window screens, birds, dragon flies , and the like. What's up, Doc?, could be replaced by Who's tender, McBuggy? I tawt I saw a puddytat , could become I See a Swooshing Swatter.
