Camp's Chaotic Night & A Restaurant Review
Today's blogs....

30 Day Bloggers Challenge

Campers Prompt: There are strange sounds outside the tents but when shine to flashlights out there, nothing is visible. In the morning, we see these interesting footprints all around camp. It was Amy's turn to cook breakfast so she went to get the food supplies and discovered that everything was opened and half eaten. What are we going to do? What kind of footprints do you think these are?

We all mill around, some of us still barely awake as we stare at the markings. Someone mentions the fated mystery moose that has been heard to be in the area, but the tracks look more like that of a raccoon or a family of raccoons on a raid that proved to be very fruitful.

"But those look like huge bird markings..." someone says.

"Not sure about that..." I say squatting to get a better view.

"Then what?'

I can only shrug.

"Let's just be thankful that we weren't trampled on..." Lyn's a Witchy Woman says as she moves to help amy-Has a great future ahead piece together some semblance of breakfast from things that look to be untouched.

"It isn't bear either."

"Thank God." 30DBC Creator/Founder says letting out a breath he has undoubtedly been holding.

"It's okay, Earl" I reassure him as I stand to pat his arm. He seems to relax with my smile and he smiles back weakly.

"We'll have to fix it so the supplies are up off the ground and devise some kind of device to keep those critters out." Fivesixer says, he's already looking around for some way to make that happen.

I decide to let the guys play at figuring that out. I need coffee and I am willing to help with the breakfast fixings to get it.

I glance around and see no sign of Charlie ~ but I can hear his snores and I swear his tent is trembling with each rumble. I can't help smiling thinking he probably slept through the commotion. Last night's escapades really took a toll on him.

"You don't think it could be some fairies intend on chasing us away?" I hear Prosperous Snow celebrating muse behind me.

"Why would they do that?" Lyn's a Witchy Woman asks as she hands amy-Has a great future ahead untouched breakfast items.

"We could be in their sacred spot... or they could be bored."

"I would think if that was the case they would have done something earlier, don't you think."

"Maybe, but..."

"But?"

"Maybe they have been doing things, more subtle things and we hadn't noticed."

"Things like what precisely?" I lean over intrigued by the possibilities of this. I am not so familiar with faerie folk lore as some of the others.

"Things missing. Moved."

I hadn't experienced anything like that, but then I had kept my important things close.

"I have a few books missing." amy-Has a great future ahead whispered. "I figured someone just borrowed them."

We all stared at her, then at each other. I shook my head, but I wondered and I could see the others considering things.

"After breakfast we will search, for now, I need my coffee or I will never be able to make sense of this. Between last nights festivities and the ruckus in the middle of the night, I can barely keep my eyes open." Lyn's a Witchy Woman told them.

I agreed with a nod as I started to butter the toast amy-Has a great future ahead was handing off to me.

Over breakfast we told the guys. Charlie had emerged and sat huddled with his hands warped around his mug. His hair hung like a curtain around him blocking out some of the sunlight he mumbled about being too bright.

Later we checked our tents and found a few things missing. Aside from Amy's books, there were watches missing and a few pens. Nobody had thought anything of it as we had shed the watches early in the trip. Now we wondered where all the shiny objects had gone. :

Border for my personal use.

Blog City – DAY 165

Hi, you were hired by Yelp, to write a restaurant review about an amazing restaurant in your city. Give us some examples of things you liked and disliked in your review. Convince us this is the place to go.

The best place to eat in Kitchener Waterloo would have to be the Keg. It is a popular place to go for a great steak and a chance to hang with friends. It is both casual and upscale without the snootiness or haughtiness of some of the more expensive places.

On the downside is the popularity. If you are planning to go on a Friday or Saturday night be prepared for a wait. They do not take reservations. If you are comfortable easing back at the bar to start your evening then you should be fine.

The ambiance is warm and friendly as are the staff.

Their wine list, though not extensive has many lovely selections that compliment your palate. Their drink list is also quite diverse and include regular and Keg size portions. Again I would recommend the Keg size Caesar for a zesty splash to start off your evening.

The food is well prepared and the portions will fill a hungry man. Steak is their specialty and they have many to choose from and they aged to perfection. All of them are cooked to order and come with a choice of sides. You can enjoy a loaded baked potato with in season vegetables or fresh cut fries with a side of gravy. Any way you like it, they will accommodate to your needs and desire.

Salads and Desserts are also available. I would recommend the Caesar salad as it is creamy and well balanced with homemade croutons. As for desserts, they all look fabulous, but I have always been too full to enjoy anything beyond an after dinner coffee. They also have a wonderful selection of after dinner coffees with an assortment of liqueurs to bring the evening to a close.

I would highly recommend The Keg is you are in search of a fine steak dinner in relaxed atmosphere.
