Day to day stuff....a memoir without order.

Both?
July 17 Prompt - Choose any and enjoy: ARE YOU A SKIRT OR A PANTS PERSON? HOW HOT IS IT WHERE YOU LIVE? HAS ONLINE RESEARCH CHANGED?

I like skirts and pants and have worn many versions that have been both. Remember bell bottom pants? How about culottes? And then there are flare legs. Of course, I guess culottes would be classified more as shorts than pants, but they are meant to appear as skirts, right? I do prefer pants, though. I can do so much more in them, whereas skirts can be restricting, Even bathing suits can be skirts or pants, at least for us "older" folks.

Waaaay back, pants used to be considered masculine and inappropriate for women to wear. Thanks heavens we were liberated. Now we can not only look like a man, we can work like one, too, without the fear of showing our underwear. Sometimes, it pays to be careful what one wishes for.

And, yes, it is very hot down here in Florida. Yardwork, grass cutting, and such is almost unbearable. I live on potato chips and water when I work outside...that's my recipe for success...*Smile*.

Online research has changed our lives...for the better, in my opinion. In an instant, I can look up my doctor's license, see where he went to school, and see if he has been found guilty in any lawsuits. I can do all this even before I go to him...yay. No more wondering if he got his license out of a Cracker Jacks box! If I'm nosy enough I can find out if any of my neighbors are being foreclosed on, what they paid for their homes, how much their mortages are, anything that is in the public record...I can look it up online. Information is at out fingertips. Does anyone remember encyclopedias? How did we ever manage? And writers really benefit from online research, read any classic for free, visit virtual Ireland or anywhere else you might have in mind for a setting...all online. I love it....

until next time....c
