MOM, GIVE ME A PET
MOM, GIVE ME A PET

Mom, you must give me a pet.
A mouse will be just fine.
In my pocket it can live
And with me it can dine.

But, Mom, I am afraid your
Cat will give it a fright.
Maybe I’ll prefer a black
Cat instead of your white.

But, mom, what shall I do if
It’s afraid of the dog,
That’s so tall and ferocious
And lives in the next block?

So, mom, please give me a dog,
But make sure it is small,
So that I may play with it
And it may fetch my ball.
