MY MOUSE
MY MOUSE

[About a child and his mouse]

In my small house,
I have a mouse,
Which is a big nuisance.
It jumps and runs,
It stops and turns,
It does not have no sense.

It eats my bread,
Sleeps in my bed,
But when I try to touch,
It hides away,
And does not play;
It’s afraid of me much.

Mouse, come with me,
And let us be,
From now on, real friends.
From candle stand,
Get a candle and
Let’s burn it at both ends.
