Domain Name Setup: Domain was chosen, registered and setup on Writing.Com using the "Manage Domains" area of the Premium Plus pulldown menu. WriterU.Com WebSite: The web site was added to a Writing.Com portfolio using the "Manage Web Sites" area of the Premium Plus pulldown menu. Header and Footer: Two WebPage items were created using WritingML and HTML to form the standard Header and Footer for all pages of WriterU.Com. The Header area contains the WriterU logo, navigation and login area. The Footer contains the copyright information. Once added to the management area, WriterU.Com uses the same exact Header/Footer pages throughout the entire site. Page Titles: Page titles are automatically generated by the system using the titles of each item. WriterU.Com Logo: This image was created, then uploaded using the "Manage Web Files" area located in the Premium Plus pulldown menu. This area also allows for the upload of many other files types, such as docs, wavs, pdfs and more. Member Login Area: By setting "Allow Memberships" to ON and adding an {include:login} to the Header item, the membership system was easily enabled and displayed. Index Page: A WebPage item was created using WritingML and HTML to form the "Home" page of WriterU.Com. Once added to the management area, this page is the first page displayed to visitors of WriterU.Com. "About" Page: A Static Item was created using plain text and WritingML to form this simple informational page. "Forum" Page: A Message Forum was created on Writing.Com to use as a means of communication for members of WriterU.Com. "Links" Page: A WebPage item was created using WritingML and HTML to form this page of WriterU.Com. "Secret" Page: A Static Item was created, set to Private and given a PassKey. This protects this page from the view of all visitors unless he or she has a PassKey to enter. The "text" asking for the PassKey was configured using the website's management area on Writing.Com. The PassKey is 3333. Please enter that to see the "Secret" page. "Feedback" Page: A Survey Form was created in order to gain feedback from the visitors to WriterU.Com. This is just an example form with only two simple questions, but this tool can be very handy for businesses and marketing! Use of Survey Forms on these websites does NOT require membership, so any visitor to the site can leave feedback. Simply set the Survey to "Allow Anonymous Submissions" and "Allow Multiple Submissions"; the public can easily respond!WriterU.Com and these examples show the very basics of what can be done with a Premium Plus Membership.
