There is a serial killer loose and only cooperation will bring the culprit to justice. |
RoE D4 Pt18 Tom Ferguson entered room 12 in the Carrol County Hospital ER and met Shawn and Dean Galloway for the first time. Tom had read their files but wanted to know them more personally. He already knew Kory Galloway, their father, pretty well from working with him for the past several years in the FBI profiler team. “I’m not talking to you,” said Shawn, “ except to warn you not to approach or address Dean in any way.” “You must have gotten close to losing him,” said Tom. “Close enough.” “Shawn? Don’t tell me no one is here I can hear you talking to someone.” Dean opened his eyes and tried to sit up. Shawn rushed to his side and helped fluff the pillow up behind him and get him settled. “Hey Bro, none of that now,” said Dean, seeing the tears in Shawn’s eyes. Shawn brushed his eyes and sniffled a little. “I’m okay, Bro.” The two boys smiled at each other. “This is Detective Ferguson. He’s the cops shrink.” “Well, not exactly,” said Tom. “But close enough.” Dean leaned back on the pillow and closed his eyes. “What do you want to know?” “I have a vague idea on that,” said Shawn. “You want to know about Darrel and Kristin.” Dean shook his head violently. “Don’t say another word, Shawn.” “If you won’t talk to us, we’ll have to take you into custody as people of interest.” “There’s nothing to tell,” said Shawn. “We don’t know where they are.” “Do you believe that Kristin and Darrel could have hurt Rick Hall?” Kory Galloway burst through the curtain into room 12. “Don’t say another word. This is Andrew Millson. He’ll be representing the boys.” Andrew straightened his glasses and tie then set his briefcase on the bedside table. “Evening, boys. You can call me Andrew. All you need is to sign this paper, and I will be looking out for your best interest from here on in.” |
