January Shadows
It is cold this January.
Rain and snow, a wintery mix.
Too bad I don't drink tea.
Shadows. The world needs to be fixed.

A new President. The future?
Hopefully, good things await us.
Problems we do endure.
World problems. What a big fuss.

Shadows. Cold. Mystery. Hope.
Strange lights in the field.
Why? Late at night. Someone selling dope?
I hope nothing bad was sealed.

Praying for good things.
Please, Dear Mister President.
Of thee we sing.
January Shadows. Will good wishes be sent?

Got through another day.
May bad things disappear.
Good things come our way.
The life we love be forever dear.
