Going to the Lake On the lake, on a hazy day Enjoying the sun and sand. On a scorching mid-summer day Listening to a great band. While eating a picnic lunch Looking at the sunflowers. Thinking about eating some brunch Perhaps drinking a rum punch. It was too humid, time to get going On the epic road trip, easygoing SAND, LAKE, HAZE, SUNFLOWERS, PICNIC, HUMID, ROAD TRIP, SCORCHING This too is a rhyming poem, and it has three stanzas: 2 quatrains and a couplet. The line length is based on syllabic count as opposed to meter, but it could very easily lend itself to tetrameter for the quatrains and pentameter for the couplet.
