New Orleans Prompt 22
A woman looks at old family pictures and a cat of the same color pattern with a strange ear keeps showing up in the pictures. The woman looks at the cat from the pictures lying on her lap purring.

Samantha had got this cat from her mother. Edward was the cats's name. The family kept saying Edwards mother and cats before her had a cat that looked like Edward. It was a DNA thing and one kitten always looked like Edward's ancestors. Samantha didn't think so. She took the cat and went and saw a psychic.

The psychic looked at Edward and touched him and looked in her crystal ball. She closed her eyes and opened her eyes.

She said Edward was a human at one time but a gypsy put a curse on him because he promised to marry her daughter. Her daughter got pregnant and he left. She turned Edward into a cat and he would always remain a cat. Samanthas family adopted him. He would be their cat forever. The psychic said she
is the great, great great granddaughter of that pregnant gypsy woman. That makes Edward and her related. Edward jumped on the woman's lap and purred and rubbed against her.

Samantha knew the answer now. She told the psychic if she wanted Edward, she could have him if she promised she would be good to him and keep him in the family. The psychic promised.

Samantha went home. She missed him but she knew Edward was with family now. No one would believe this story. Samantha got a new cat. She didn't see pictures of this cat in the family albums. The cat was really a cat.
