The Tavern Post: "Five Newsletters from the Archives"  Open in new Window.

"Mystery Newsletter (July 26, 2023)Open in new Window. This is from the Mystery Newsletter Archive. I chose this because I love mysteries. I enjoy all the authors; however, I especially enjoy those written by Arakun, the Twisted Raccoon. He gives hints about different writing techniques for different mystery topics, and he always provides a writing exercise called "Some to Try." because in this one

"Action/Adventure Newsletter (July 5, 2023)Open in new Window. I chose this newsletter by Legerdemain. He discusses using verbs, nouns, participles, and other parts of speech to describe your favorite foods and how that can be incorporated into your writing.

"For Authors Newsletter (March 6, 2024)Open in new Window. I chose this For Authors newsletter because this category is extremely useful. The newsletter centers around advice for us authors, whether published or aspiring. This particular newsletter talks about building your writing retreat at home.

"Short Stories Newsletter (November 29, 2023)Open in new Window.I choose this newsletter from the Short Stories collection in the Archives. This is full of advice and topics about short stories and their writing. This newsletter discusses keeping a writer's notebook, its importance, and what should go in it, like Observations, People, Random Ideas, Sketches and Doodles, etc.

"Noticing Newbies Newsletter (December 27, 2023)Open in new Window. Recognizing our Newbies is very important here at WDC. We, as authors, all like recognition to cross our paths, mainly in the form of Reviews. Here at WDC, recognition is given in several ways; Reviews, CR, MB, and Awardicons are but a few ways the recognition is given. I am partial to Noticing Newbies because I can always find Newbie authors to review.
