First Day of School - Week 2
First Day of School
Through the halls of solemn learning
Once again am I doomed to roam,
Dressed in uniform unflatt’ring
Wishing to be in bed, at home.
My mind empty of equations
It once applied to problems solve,
Languages of other nations
Once conjugated, now dissolved.
Summer’s lease hath but two months,
Not long I savored summer days
And still my schooling is undone
All vanished in the summer haze.
