A letter I will never send.
PROMPT July 20th

Write a letter to an old friend or lover that you’ll never send

Now we might be getting too personal. Lol You are digging kind of deep here. I will admit you are getting me outside of my comfort zone with some of these prompts. This is where you will learn something else about me I normally keep to myself.

Hey Mister,

You know who you are. You hurt me so deeply when you married the other woman. I cried for 2 days straight afterwards. I didn't want to live anymore without you. I loved you so much.

I had no control over how my parents treated you. I am sorry they were the way they were towards you. I am sorry I could not fit the mold of everything your parents wanted you to marry.

It is several years later and I am still in love with you. I still get butterflies whenever I get near you. I still feel the aching in my heart because I want you. You and I had a set of stillborn twins no one knew about. I wonder if you still love me when I look into your eyes.

When I look into those dark brown eyes of yours, here is what I see. I see a softness towards me. I see a pride towards your children. I see a sadness, a regret maybe. You won't say it because you are a good man and take your responsibility seriously. This is all the more reason I love you.

Maybe someday, you will come back to me. Until then, I will continue to love you and want you. No other man has ever measured up to you in any way, shape, or form. I am able to survive without you, but I still don't want to.

I still love you with all my heart,
Marvilla

24 syllable poem

I found a flounder,
Floundering around.
My heart was filled with wonder
As I watched without a sound.
