Adult me
PROMPT May 13th

What does it mean to be a “grown up”? What do you do regularly as an adult that you dreaded having to do when you were a child? Have you found ways to maintain a sense of childhood wonder or curiosity? If so, how?

As an adult I go to the dentist every six months. That was certainly something I wouldn’t have done as a child. Dentists were to be feared. Slow drills and gas masks for extractions. It took me years to overcome my fear.
As a child I hated Brussel sprouts.
As a child I hated bedtime.
As a child I was afraid of dogs.
As a child I was afraid of my school teacher.
Oh my goodness I could go on. I overcame all of the above. Even school teachers 🤣 and I love bedtime.💤

I love being childlike, I can and do, all sorts of silly things with my great-grandkids. In fact I’m more curious now and in awe of this amazing world we live in.
