Do you believe?

Here is my personal testimony.
"I have decided to follow JesusOpen in new Window.

Do you believe in Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour? If so, why do you believe? Do you believe he is the Messiah? Who is Jesus to you? I would love to hear your personal testimony. Either place it in a message in the message forum, or write it as a separate item or in a blog and post the link to it in the message forum so we can all see it. Everyone who posts their personal testimony this week of March 1st, 2021, will receive 1000 gift points this next week of March 8th, 2021.

I want to hear from you guys. It doesn't matter if you don't think you know that much about the Bible. We are all here, and can learn from one another. Ask questions. Challenge one another.

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

I actually hope to write a book on this Scripture verse. We need to be ready to tell others why we believe in Jesus. We also need to know why we believe in Jesus for ourselves. We can be sure we are solidly anchored in our belief in him. Trials and temptations will come. There will be times our faith is thoroughly tested. We need to know where we stand with Christ and why we have placed our faith in him.

Are there any doubts in your heart? Let's examine ourselves and see. Let's try to eliminate all our doubts and fears to trust in the one who has the key to our Salvation.

I would like to start out by presenting the plan of Salvation. There are several ways you can do it to share Christ with others. There is the Romans Road, the ABC’s of Salvation, and there is the color book method to name a few. I like to take a more personal approach. I like to determine what method or scriptures fit the current time and circumstance. Here is a personal straight-forward approach that I will present for the purpose of this study.

Here is our problem.

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

James 1:14-15
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

This is everyone's problem.

Romans 3:19-20
19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:23
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

God doesn't want anyone to die in their sins because he loves us.

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

What is the solution to this sin problem?

Romans 5:15-21
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus Christ is the solution!

John 3:16-19
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Ephesians 2:1-10
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Romans 5:6-8
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

How do I obtain the solution to my sin?

John 11:25-26
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 6:28-29
28 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Acts 16:29-31
29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you believe?

Confess your sins to God.

Acts 3:19
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

Romans 10:9-13
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Call upon the Lord, and he will save you!

Summary:
We all have the problem of sin. Sin separates us from God, and the end result of sin is death. God does not want anyone to perish. So he came up with a solution because he loves us. He gave us his only begotten son in human form to die on the cross for our sins. Jesus, God's son, was buried and rose again on the third day so that we can have eternal life through him. In order to obtain the solution for our sin, we must believe in Jesus from our hearts, confess our sins to God, and call upon God to be saved. Do you believe?

I am also considering doing some scripture memorization and maybe some Bible quiz questions every week. Would anyone be interested in either of these things. Let me know in the message forum comments.
