I write, therefore I am
I write, therefore I am.

I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough.

PLUGS:

I am sure lofty did not mind, but I left the link to the wrong story in an earlier entry. So again if you stop by the campfire I am sure SHattered Angel will like that.

So as I have said before I have joined the campside story thing. Finally I have found the voice to say what I had to say. I get my two and a half pages written like always in Word Perfect first. So I go to copy what is written so I can paste it here and make my contribution to the story. I click paste instead of copy and everything is lost. Now I have to start over again.

I want to cry.

As anyone who has received a review from me for poetry I always start off with I am not the biggest fan of poetry or rhyming poetry. Mainly I do this so they might listen to my review with but a grain of salt.

I work at this bookstore, which shall remain nameless, because I write and what better place for me to work. lol. We received a bunch of books for $1.99. So what did I buy? Dickinson, Blake, Byron, Poe, Shakespeare, and Frost. All poetry. And one book by David Baldacci. So color me hypocrite.

Time is running short for my part in the campfire story and I am near to finishing my part. And the third chapter of Perpetual Rage, The Past Shall Come to Haunt You, is near completion as well. Both should be up by Monday Tuesday at the latest.

You know there is an old saying; Those that can, do. Those that can't teach. Somedays I wonder which category I will fall in. God knows I dont have the patience for teaching.

Well again I have rambled enough and it is off to work where I recieve such brilliant questions as; If it's buy three and get a fourth free, how does that work? I swear everytime I get that question I can hear the boy from Deliverence playing the banjo.

If you would like to drop by the campfire I'm sure Shattered Angel would like that.

Man I am tired. These nights of less than six hours of sleep are catching up to me. I blame the website. I get on and I am here for four hours at the end of the night. Not to mention the times I jump on to read any reviews or to give a few. You know I might have an addictive personality.

So I am in this fireside writing deal by Shattered Angel. I like the idea but the problem I am running across is that my style is different from the other two people who have gone before me. I find myself wanting to change a bit to fit their styles more, but I am Aries and it is so hard to change our ways. I shall have to Forge ahead as they say.

A famous writer once said you are a writer when the first thing you think of when you get up is writing. And the last thing you think of is writing. Man I am a bundle of useless information. I know all these qoutes but can rarely atribute them to anyone.

This has been a busy month it seems that every writer I enjoy has a new book out. Robaert Crais, Jim Butcher, Douglas Preston and Lincoln CHild, Lee Child, John Ramsey Miller, Chuck Palahniuk, Judith and Garfield Reeves-Stevens, and of course J.K. Rowling coming in a few days.
By the writing Gods I need a second job just to buy books.

Once again like my mind this entry has rambled from topic to topic. I think I shall leave now.

I have the first five chapters of Perpetual Rage written I just need to get them to the site. I merged chapters one and two at reviewer recommendation. So at the end of the second chapter I named the title of the third chapter. Well now I have decided on a "new" chapter.

I have decided to write a new chapter showing Eddye away from the doctors. He will be having a conversation with his dead girlfriend. And she doesn't approve of Eddye's actions.

No one has yet figured out what the name Eddye H. Ward means.

I was always told that if you want to be a good writer read alot of people. While I do read heavily mostly thrillers, mysteries, horror, fantasy, and older science fiction. There are three authors that seem to influence me the most. If you are inspired to read either of them I would love to hear from you.

Chuck Palahniuk - Survivor-
The first time I read one of his books was Fight CLub and the first thought in my mind was you can really write like this. He is kind of a modern Vonnegut.

Phillip K. Dick- Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep-
You may not know the name but you know his stuff; Total Recall, Blade Runner, Paycheck, Minority Report, and the upcoming Scanner Darkly.

Robert Heinlein- Stranger in a Strange Land-
His take on relegion in this book intrigued me.

As always keep writing, keep reading.

Well I have upgraded my membership to, well, Upgraded. Everyone I know is tired of hearing about this website. I like it because it has gotten me to want to write again after a long absence.

Anywho, I was talking to someone the other day about writing, because that's what writers do. I was telling them how characters take a life of their own and they tell you what they are doing. Their reaction was well I write and that has never happened. I thought to myself, well you are doing something wrong.

I find I am trying to spread myself to thin as a writer. I want to work on my Price Thrillers because I have these ideas for what happens. Then I want to work on my Fantasy Chronicles of Gatean because there are characters in the story that I want to know what happens to them. But most of all I want to write Perpetual Rage. The character is so much fun to write. Writing such a demented and sympathetic character is freeing.

If you are looking for someone to read on the sight might I suggest the following;

Gaijin de Moscu
Wolffe
JoeMayers

Well I think I have rambled on enough for tonight.

Keep writing.
