... "If a hundred jumbo jets crashed and everyone died the world would be in morning....yet the same number of people die each day from hunger related disease!" The YEAR IS 2009! |

... Guitar in hand I tuned on The Pogues, A Fairytale in New York. My friends will like this song at Christmas, With lyrics rehearsed, this practiced song picked. As I see the words before my eyes In time like I owned the tune, I squint as I play, and my jaw shakes; Feeling tears about to well I moved. I stand and walk away with this guitar in hand; Resting it against the couch, for God sake be a man. A simple thought that opened wide that tear-filled well As I shake and tears fall, I say in stern, "STOP!" Is this what you are? For God sake be a man. You survive what brings death, now with tear filled eyes. To a poor bastard man in the drunk-tank; Where nothing but dreams all lost in pain not realized. For God sake be a man. |
... Qiqi (Chi-chi) Onward thinking, ever each day by night. Silence in the depths of my heart strung tight. Success shows brilliant colours in hue, Where beauty known by all men is you. Tears soak more than once what I've been. Darkness called your light crystal being. A man of means, by no means not me, Dreaming you hold a rave to be free. All I've in my heart, gone days, long ago. Room's dark without your soft skin in toe. Can a brain caged in passion's madness not bluff; Or forever be a time - not enough. I sing for your tender love; night lust's rage. Rest calls again to a cold slab, my bed. On this my last day, I've worn a tie and I'm brave. Straight faced in stone manhood, absent your gauge. Sorrow crushes relentless; no solace without you. Not that weak coward who bruised your goddess skin too. Mirth still and stagnant, time's passage refined. Lamp lit yellow light is your truth, and mine. Praise your soft skin: onto death I will rhyme. Never goodbye; see you soon brings a sigh. Please look in my eyes, the one in them is you. Traveled years in my still beating heart; dreams of youth. Sweet joy felt as your words softly touch me. I'll wash in warm water your tender, girl feet. Gently caressed by my hands attempted soft love. I beg you forgive my common man's touch. Gone in calm silence, yet timeless in love. Like none I've known, you're beauty's the Dove. With God each moment I've paid to be with you; Every cent, all that's mine; complete value infused. Till my last drop of blood, you're warm bosom is safe. My life I will stake, as these words of love run their pace. |
... "Religion in fact is not knowledge, but a faith and aspiration; it is justified indeed both by an imprecise intuitive knowledge of large spiritual truths and by the subjective experience of souls that have risen beyond the ordinary life, but in itself it only gives us the hope and faith by which we may be induced to aspire to the intimate possession of the hidden tracts and larger realities of the Spirit. That we turn always the few distinct truths and the symbols or the particular discipline of a religion into a hard and fast dogmas, is a sign that as yet we are only infants in the spiritual knowledge and are yet far from the science of the Infinite. - Sri Aurobindo Wonderful words with a message important to all, yet undoubtedly the message would evolve beyond infancy through surrender to Christ and the Trinity of God. I'm not thumping on a podium, or waving the Good News and red in the face. I simply share the map, shared with me. ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
. . . Padded White Room Here in this padded, twelve by fifteen room, Where the door is blank white, And it's padded too. On that padded white bed, With no pillow upon To rest my shaved head. Shackled in handcuffs Around my wrists, And ankles in chain. From this bed I'll never evade; Chained like a dog In a padded white cage. On this white cushioned bed, I stare at the ceiling In wonder of death. In this room The only colour to see Is clammy pale flesh Sticking to me. Hyper in silence, Yet hammering loud, The quick beating heart In my chest warns Of what's coming around. |
... Two Heels That rumble of the stomach Like a regular, close knit friend. Urging forever, always on to the end, To quiet a ravished belly's groan. Searching through empty, bare cupboards, Counting for the fifth time, and much willing. Perhaps there will be food there then, Because, one more time, I looked again. Yet no matter how hard I will it Hunger's story stays the same. The pickings, not many, but few. Drips of molasses on a crusty heel of bread. Again once more to quiet that roar; The heels of bread behind the Tang Took me off hunger's clock, not for long this day. Baked bread heels, easing hunger's stay. I try to not worry when hunger screams my way, Pulling through each time I feel the groan, every famished day. |
... In this world of mystery. In this world of fear. In this world of want. In this world of tears. Seen the worry of angels. Seen the worry of kids. Seen the worry of God, Seen the worry unsaid. Ran the brilliance of sunlight. Ran the quake of the moon. Ran the unquenchable thirst. Ran the end softly swooned. Swam the rumbling white rapids. Swam the Freshwater Bay. Swam the warm water Pacific. Swam the Atlantic's blue waves. Resting now in this cavern. Resting now past lights day. Resting now dark forever. Resting now absent praise. |
