Dawn and the spirt Elf Dawn opened her eyes. Beams of light shined through the curtains. In her bedroom, “Dawn you better be up, school starts soon” her mother yelled from the stairs Dawn jumped out of the bed she scrambled to get her uniform on she grabbed her wand on her night table and ran out her bedroom door. It was test day at school. Dawn had to use her magical spells, she learned from charm class, to summon the spirit Elf. If she could summon the Elf she would earn her magic cloak, a cloak that is given to the best wizard in the school. Dawn sat down at the table and started eating her eggs and bacon. Her mom smiled at her while she made her lunch for school. “So, this is an exciting day for you. Have you been practicing your summoning spells?” Dawn’s mother said wrapping her Yes mom I summoned a green cobble goop yesterday” Dawn said laughing. As she got up to put her book bag on her back. She waved bye to her mom and walked out the back door. It was so nice out the sun was so hot and the air smelled so fresh. Dawn walked towards her flying Dragon Draco Dawn loved him . She would Fly with him to school everyday. His big wings flapped gracefully in the wind as Dawn wrapped her arms around his neck she felt so free flying around the sky. Draco flew towards the school in Spartan Springs a beautiful island hidden deep within the mountains Dawn could see other flying birds and Dragons flying towards the school. She saw her arch enemy the school bully Arly pry with his red eyed phoenix swooping down besides her Arlys beady eyes looking at her as he yelled out at her The phoenix brushed up against Draco before going in for a hard landing “Jerk” Dawn yelled as Draco came in for his landing, She climbed off her Dragon and scratched his head Draco nudged his head and chirp as Dawn ran into the school. All the kids ran into the gym the excitement of who would become the young master wizard weighted on them It was going to be a long day The grand master the Head teacher of the school stood tall in the middle of the gym, He’s voice boomed in the microphone as he explained rules for the final spell test. At the end of the speech all the kids stood up One by one each student went up besides the head Teacher and tried to summon the Spirt elf Arly was called up he jumped out of his seat and almost ran towards the teacher He grabbed his wand hard in his hand as he started chanting his hands flying everywhere. A small spark flow from his wand as he pushed his hand down just as he was going to raise his wand again a small spark flow from his wand again all the kids gasped as they saw a small creature running behind the teacher Arly started laughing thinking it was the elf, but as he gazed at the little creature he saw it was a Gobble gop a small creature with huge ears and long curved teeth, the creature hissed as the head teacher picked it up its big eyes scanned everything in the room everyone laughed and Arly walked off the stage stamping his feet he was so sure that he would pass the test and he summoned a weird looking creature he thought, the last student to go up was Dawn she was so confident in herself she stood up beside the teacher and started her spell as she waved her wand a spark flew along with a Blue mist flying behind the wand almost following it the teacher was heard encouraging Dawn “yes that’s right keep going child” he said with a smile Just then as Dawn finished chanting she heard a peaceful hum. Everyone started whispering she opened her eyes and saw the Elf she actually summoned the spirt Elf all the kids cheered as Dawn was handed the cloak she did it she became a master wizard Arly was so mad he stormed out screaming that Dawn cheated. But Dawn didn’t care she was so happy now she was capable of doing anything she was crowned master wizard she loved the sound of that . She ran out of the school her cloak flying in the wind she whistled for Draco and jumped on his back he chirped loud as he started flying home. The wind flew through Dawn’s hair As Draco swooped through the clouds A smile swept onto Dawns face This was the best day of her life 795 words |
