Very emotional piece...it's hard loving and taking care of an addict. You summed it up with those three words... "Protect, "Resolve, "Disown" Good job and Write On!
Lovely poem of Mother Nature truly at her best! Not sure I could pick out a favorite part but some are more close to me: "Dew drops glisten on a spider's maze" "The fog lifts into a gentle haze." and the end I love: "This is Mother Nature at her best, Waking from another night's country rest." Thanks for the note on Crimson Rosellas, I knew what a Cockatoo was but not a Rosella. Good luck in the contest and Write On!
This sweet poem is so dear to me as I lost a little girl and had the same pain and finally acceptance of letting go, knowing she was in a better place and we would see each other again. I have not added this poem yet but I would love for you to read it when I do. Thanks for sharing this personal poem. Write On!
Very nice memory you have shared in such a way that the person reading it can be a part of that memory. Write on! This short poem is what it's all about!
This is close to my heart...how well I know the strength it takes to love someone enough to fight for them even when they don't want to be fought for. Don't give up and write on!
Lots of emotion going on in this poem. My favorite lines are "emotions draw my words" "as it empties out my heart" and "I paint a worded picture, I paint my life my way." Enjoyed this very much! Write On!!!
