| August 7, 2014 Prompt: This is your sleeping quarters for the next three weeks. The guys will be in one tent and the girls in another. We have provided cots so hopefully you brought your bedding. There are some important things one should know about camping in the wilderness and lots of information available on the web in case you don't know. Do you know how to purify water? Do you know how to build a fire? Finally what does it mean when it says Sustainable Camping? Inquiring minds want to know how prepared you are for this adventure. I will use a sand, pebble and reed filtering system and then for good measure (how long is that exactly?) transfer the precious nectar into blue glass bottles with crystals inside and then bathe it in the crisp white midnight moonlight. Water is a fascinating substance. I Would use the Irish turf of my homeland which would give off a deep soporific haze and form patterns in the flames of stories of old. I would be the first flame reader and recount the tales in the crackles and the shifting heat. Long in to the night the words of ancient substance form as the flame reader title is passed to each person in the group. What's tales we shall tell... Sustainable camping is the way to go working with the environment being respectful of it. We would need to dig a good hole in the ground for the compost toilets who's up for that- boys?( yeah I know that was so sexist of me  )It's warm in the tent, I am going to sling my hammock between a couple of friendly trees and watch the stars rotate.   |

Since you signed up to do this unusual adventure, what are your expectations of completing this ultimate challenge. Convince us you are up to the challenge. I am going to take a big peace of mind. It should sustain me through the surprise prompts and the last minute panics of where did I put that? I will squeeze my fat expectations in to a rucksack and walk through the wonders of our minds. I look forward to meeting the strange creations invented by others and look forward to being surprised by my own! I will sit around the burning synapses of the group, sip my Oolong tea, stare at the stars and wait for inspiration to grab me from the bushes. I embrace the ramblings of the mind and leap forward in to the darkness. |

| JULY 30 --- SATURDAY PROMPT --- Write a story, poem, essay, composition OR BLOG including: Love at first sight & an ideal or an impromptu vacation A friends need to get away developed in to a impromptu trip . In forty eight hours we were on the road to wherever we wanted to go. It was a real Thelma and Louise trip I went for three days and was away for two weeks, that is without blowing up trucks or shooting people. Nevertheless it was exciting to be that free. Loud music, top on the car down, long hair flowing in the wind and lots of laughter. Being young and free was a very great and beautiful thing indeed. Everyone should do this at least once in thier life time just get up and go... |
| JULY 29 -- FRIDAY PROMPT: Write a story, poem, essay, composition OR BLOG including: Summer & Mysterious Stranger The butterfly first seen is a mysterious stranger, flitting in to my garden, almost unseen, The flowers once dead now open up their coloured hearts to the world. An excellent human character contains love while the intellect tries to come to correct conclusions, it takes a cold hard look at things. There is more diversity in character than intellect because it not only has the logic element but a deep emotional one too. Perhaps our purpose here on this earth is to become greater souls than we already are, to learn from our repetitive mistakes and thoughts and become something better than we are, achieved by constant, conscious effort. |

Prompt: Describe your favourite fairytale, myth or legend from your childhood. Discuss why it’s your favourite and how it has influenced your beliefs and morals throughout your life so far. I remember being read to from a very ancient edition of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Which was full of macabre images. Rumpelstilskin I remember made a big impression on me. I deeply visualised the sly, little wizened old man. I remember making a mental note to watch out for anyone who looked like this! It had layer upon layer of events and was fascinating to listen to. I don't think it effected me throughout my life, as I still will talk to small men with beards. |
Fukijima, Japan --- Mar 12, 2011 Another natural disaster which is devastating for the people involved. It looks like everyone in the world will eventually get to understand such circumstances as the frequency of disaster seem to be increasing. i think perhaps the entity that is planet earth has had enough of human beings raping it of its resources and hardly ever saying thank you for what it provides. If you are a bible reader then these are the signs of the end times - this may mean so there can be a new beginning. Why is it that human beings never learn from past mistakes, is that greed, power or self need of some description takes precedence and quashes the logic of lesson? |

I have loved every second I have spent with you and having prepared most of my life for this next journey I am looking forward to it. Be present and live your life with love, to the fullness of your positive self. |
