A poem on sexuality with religious themes
Our tongues were on fire in our mouths
They meet and exchange
Moans, like martyr's cries, escape your mouth,
subdued.
You guide me with your hand, a pillar fire
My kisses form an oasis on your négligé
We split between two mountains, Mount Moriah and Ararat
I grasp and I climb.
My mouth sacrifices my innocence on Moriah,
and I come to rest on Ararat.
Its peak reveals a new world, an untouched land.
A sign of divinity marks my hand as it pierces you.
Blood and a tear pour out
As I leave long, lost trails on your body we pull our hips together
grinding like millstones,
crushing,
pressing,
a circular path.
You grasp at my belt loop
like those reaching to touch Christ's clothes.
Because of your faith I answer.
I move up,
with my hand on you heart,
burning,
and I know in this moment,
I
Lust
Y o u ,
but, my lips, with their forked tongue kiss you and tell you,
with a sorrowful face,
It is finished.
