A poem I wrote based off of something I was feeling at the time
As the leaves begin to
change, so my love, do you
their color a caotic beauty
you, a caotic mess and
cold like the wind.

This problem wasn't always here,
spring was smiles and laughter,
a melody like the birds' songs,
and the heat of summer met
the heat of passion.

But then as the leaves began to fall
soo too, do the tears and
the snow of winter falls on two
newly baren hearts,
freezing to stones of ice.

Will spring bring a thawing?
And will it all repeat once more?
With no warmth in the winter,
only smiles in the spring
and memories made to freeze.

Will happiness only come
with the dances of spring?
And will you once again,
begin to change
with the leaves?
