Just another little something, hope you like it
A cool wind blows by and touches the skin
Now that you're gone I am cold from within
Greeted by sadness, regret lies at the door
With no-one to run to I'm left asking for more
Freedom of speech seems to laugh in my face
The flames lick my skin and it all falls into place
Regretting the decision I made in that time
Knowing what happened wasn't a crime
Answers to questions lie hidden below
Questioning all options on which way to go
The night falls casting shadows in space
Hope fades and you're gone without a trace
Breath escapes as you drift away
Wonder if I'll find you again one day
Gone from my life like a whisper to the wind
Now all that is left is accusation to have sinned
But one day a change seems to spring from the ground
A chance at forgiveness, as new love is found
Not a new person, just through new eyes
The same soul lurks behind in disguise
Not sure what the future holds from us all
Yet feel I must answer to destiny's call
