Sipper Slope

With no other options, Newt slipped between the tongue of the boot and the front of Kane’s hard shin. As the boot lifted, Newt was wedged into the space, feeling much more secure withing the darkness. but as the giant boot came down, the space between the shin and inside of the boot grew slightly wider, allowing Newt to slip deeper. The reverberation of the boot slamming to the earth , shook Newt, making him slip even more! He tried to find a hand hold, but it was no use. A full day of walking in the hot sun had given both the sock behind and the interior of the boot a light coating of sweat, and it only got worse the deeper he slipped. Soon, Newt was squished tight between the very top of the giant’s foot and the inside of the boot, the only thing stopping him from slipping further was the curve of the foot.

By the time the others were ready to head back to their campsite, Newt was about ready to pass out from the humid stench of Kane’s foot. It was muted ever so slightly by the sock, but that had long since become a useless sponge that only served to marinate Newt in the giant’s stench more. The only thing he could think to be grateful for was that he hadn’t slipped underneath the giant’s foot. At least hear, though the tight pressure was unbearable, it wasn’t enough to kill him. he doubted there’d be anything left but a red smear if he’d gotten caught underneath the immense muscle giant.
