The Briar Academy of Magic and Witchcraft was known as one of the finest, most acclaimed colleges to study in the magical arts. It was a wonder how Melona Pearsly had gotten in. Deeply untalented, the only thing less impressive than her magical skills were her looks, at least in her mind. She was short, only five feet in height, with ratty brown hair and pudgy features. Her chest was perfectly flat, as was her rear, and she exuded such little femininity that she was often mistaken for a boy. She wore large round and thick glasses as even the best healing magic couldn't fix her terrible eyesight, and her bangs hung low over her forehead.
Melona's father was the head of an incredibly powerful family who owned huge tracts of land and held extensive political influence among the various kingdoms. He had been influential enough to get Melona admitted into this prestigious school despite having no notable magical ability himself. Her mother was one of the most famous models in the world, with a body that bordered on cartoonishly endowed. Generation after generation her family would birth a powerful spellcaster, an influential mind, a talented creative. And then there was Melona, who was only impressive in how unimpressive every aspect of her seemed to be.
However, this was about to change. As our story begins, we find Melona...
