Chapter #2

Muster up some Moxxie

Moxxie was at home, with Millie, that night. Their workday over, Blitz for once (As far as Moxxie could tell) Not spying on the two due to possibly being on a date with the Prince, having left him the Grimoire to watch while he was gone.. All and all, nothing could of possibly ruined that night for the Imp, as he and his wife cooked dinner together... But as they did, an odd feeling passed over him. The grimoire on the shelf was glowing, not that he had noticed...but something else...strange, was going on. He looked to his hands...and noticed they had begun to seemingly become opaque. "...Oh Crumbs"

Millie's eyes went wide as she watched her husband suddenly seem to just...vanish. No Warning, no portal, no way to tell what had just happened. The Imp was there and then he wasn't, and Millie was...well she was just as scared and pissed as the time those wannabe men in black had kidnapped him. But this time, as she franticly read through the Grimoire looking for some way to find him...she had no place to start.

Moxxie, on the other hand, was in one place, and then rather disorientingly found himself standing in the middle of a pentagram in some damp, dark room he had never been in before. "Where the hell..."

"Ok, so...either your NOT Lord Stolas or you need a better press agent" Moxxie whipped around to see the source of the voice and found himself looking into the blackened eyes of a higher-end of teenaged human, maybe 17? Without a second thought he pulled a pistol on the teen. "Woah, woah hey" The teenager whipped his hands into the air immediately.

"Who the FUCK are you and how the hell did I get here!?" A reasonable question, all things considered.

"I...I swear this is just some kind of mistake! I was trying to summon the holder of the Goetia Grimoire, I don't know why you ended up being brought here!...Please stop pointing a pistol at me?"

...Admittedly, that sounded...believable, if in an insane sort of way. He was the one who had been given the Grimoire to watch so maybe the ritual this guy had used had grabbed him instead of the prince because of that. Moxxie holstered the pistol. "That doesn't answer the "Who are you" part of my question"

"O-oh, right. Um. I'm Job. I...uh...You aren't Lord Stolas, right? I just feel like I should verify that quick"

"No, I'm Moxxie."

"...Lord Moxxie?"

"Just Moxxie."

"...Great." The teenager then picked up a very familiar book from atop a table in the basement the two were in. "Must of messed up the ring somehow"

"Wait, where the hell does an at-best 17 year old get a Grimoire?"

"The Internet." He flipped through several pages. "Sorry I'm...not seeing a Moxxie in here. You're a Demon at least, right?"

"No I just have a skin condition" Moxxie responds sarcastically "What were you even trying? Just playing some party game of "summon the demon lord" or did you have a point to this"

"Oh, I was...Well you see I kinda wanted to...I was gonna make a deal with him. My Soul in exchange for someone being killed"

"...How many people"

"What?"

"How many people were you gonna kill that you needed a demon lord?"

"...I mean, just one but-"

"And you tried to summon a lord of hell for that?"

"...Is that overkill?"

"Yes Job, that is the definition of Overkill. A Pistol could do that"

"Not without being traced back to me." Job shut his grimoire. "...So...I'd uh. I'd just send you back but it doesn't appear that theres an UNSUMMONING ritual in here. I think you need to complete a deal before you can go back to hell"

"...OK well...I guess I'll take the original idea but I'm pretty sure Imp's can't own someone's soul"

"Shame. Well, the old man is in the next house over sleeping off his latest bar-run. Feel free to take him out whenever you can and you should fade on home." Job shrugged sheepishly...and Moxxie immediately went upstairs and headed his way over to the other house. Frankly he wanted to get home as soon as possible before Millie freaked out too much. A few moments later there was the sound of a shot and it seemed as though, to Job, the deal must of been complete.

As soon as he had killed the sleeping drunk, Moxxie found himself back in his home, holding his smoking pistol in his kitchen...and Millie immediately happily tackled him, happy to just have him back. He had only been gone for a total of around 30 minutes but still when someone vanishes into thin air in front of your eyes its a little terrifying. After a quick explanation, and managing to convince Millie not to use the Grimoire to go and kill the idiot kid who had scared her so thoroughly, the two imps would eventually forget about the incident, as 5 months flew by.

And then on his 18th birthday which happened on more than one others of these storylines, Job was hit by a bus and killed.Which lead to the now small, furry demon crashing down on Moxxie's head.

"What the hell?" Moxxie grabbed whatever had just landed on him...and somehow, for reasons he can't explain, immediately recognized the newly born demon. "...Wait, your that Job Kid"

"...So. I guess Imps can own souls"

"Guess so, but that doesn't explain the size thing..."
