Megan has been talking about the new Hello Kitty Converse shoes for a while. She said that her dad refused to get buy them because they were "little kid shoes," despite the fact they came in adult sizes. The smell of rubber is always a little overwhelming at shoe stores, in my opinion. I walk up and down the aisles until I find them. Luckily I know Megan's foot size since I had once did a science project comparing foot size and height. The two of us were partners. Thinking of that project reminds me of the truth or dare game we had played the night we worked on the assignment. Megan dared me to lick the soles of her feet, which I did because it was a triple dog dare.
I sort through the boxes until I find the right size, opening the box to make sure they look alright. Another one of the boxes falls off the shelf and hits my leg. Suddenly I hear a whirring noise and realize that it must have activated the shrink ray. There is a flash of light and suddenly my skin gets tingly. I become dizzy for a moment and the shoes clatter out of my hand into the floor.
When my head stops spinning I survey my surroundings. In front of me lie two massive shoe boxes. The sneakers that had hit my leg fell out of their box and were laying on their side. In the distance I hear the voices. I look and see two giant teen girls. One looks to be about my age and has purple hair. The other girl is probably her little sister, about 13 years old, with blonde hair. Their legs look like redwood trees.
The two giantess walk towards me. The younger girl is only wearing bright green socks, I crane my neck up to see that see is holding her shoes. Her massive foot stops right in front of me. To avoid getting stepped on, I quickly dart into the shoe I had knocked down.
"Here they are," booms one of the girls. "Now I just need to find my size." I hear them rummaging through the boxes. "Oh wait, here they are on the ground." Suddenly the shoe I am in shakes as the giantess girl turns it upright. I look up to see the giant socked foot coming straight towards me. I scramble to the toe of the shoe as all light is blocked out. I get pinned down by the massive foot. The giant girl walks around, each step she takes feels like an earthquake.
