Figuring he could scare the girl if he jumped out at her from her backpack, Jack made his way down his chair to the ground and over to the girl's backpack. Double checking to make sure he had time and room to execute his plan, Jack looked at his phone, saw that there was still fifteen minutes of class time left, and saw that the girl was still attending closely to the class. He then began climbing the black backpack in front of him. Jack paused about halfway up from the top, noticing that there were several different pockets he could choose to hide in. The first two he came across were the smallest and were shut. He could try opening them himself, but not only would he be unable to close it, Jack also didn't know whether the girl would check in them. Considering this, he moved onward up the backpack until he came across what he presumed was the main pocket.
This part of the bag was open, and its content was revealed. Two textbooks, two notebooks, a pack of gum, and lipstick. Jack looked back up at the girl and noticed she had a third notebook which was on the table. Meaning, it was likely that she would put that away after class was done and Jack could have a chance to execute his prank. A cheeky grin spread across his face. It was time. Jack lowered himself into the open pocket via attaching himself via the fabric on the inside and slowly crept down. Once inside and on one of the notebooks laying on its side, Jack looked around for a hiding spot. He noticed a crevice inside one of the textbooks the girl had and began moving over to hide there, but a sudden shaking of the backpack caused him to lose his footing. Shifting his attention outside of the backpack, Jack saw that the girl was packing up the materials from the table. "Shit!" he thought, "I don't have much time!". What he didn't realize was that climbing up, deciding where to go, then climbing inside the backpack took up the allotted remaining time of class, and now class was over. Instead of being prepared for his chance, Jack knew that at this point it was now or never.
The black-haired girl lowered her pencil into one of the smaller pouches of the backpack, still oblivious to one of her fellow students inside the main pocket. Jack kept jumping up and down, but to no avail. Then came her notebook. The girl grabbed it and carefully moved it over to the main pocket, peering into the bag to place it. Jack kept up with his movements, figuring that she had to notice him, but he was wrong. Not paying particular attention to what was already in the bag, considering she wouldn't expect a living person to be in there, the girl nonchalantly placed her notebook down, narrowly missing Jack, and began zipping her backpack up. "No!" Jack cried. "Wait! I'm in here, don't pack me up!". But it was too little, too late. The girl finished zipping up, leaving Jack surrounded in complete darkness. He was tossed back into the side of the back as the girl lifted it up, and fell to the bottom. He lay on his back, almost mesmerized by how badly this plan backfired. Jack was going with this girl, wherever it was she was going, whether he liked it or not.
When the backpack opens, what happens?
