(Pokemon pred)
The vine leading up into the open window is too inviting a prospect for you to pass up. The other paths might be an easier chance at getting someone's attention, but they are also relative unknowns. You know for a fact that if you ascend up this vine, you'll at least be able to get indoors, away from the dangers of the outside world. You approach the vine and find that it looks much like a winding tree. Not quite the giant beanstalk of lore, but still an impressive sight. After a moment of hesitation you begin your ascent, gripping at the surface of the vine. The vine shifts about, shaken even by your relatively light weight, but it's showing no signs of snapping.
You continue your ascent up the vine, your body already sore and sweaty from the climb. The window is practically a dozen body lengths off of the ground, and the movements of the vine make it all too difficult to make your climb.
You work up quite a sweat as you make exert more and more energy into getting to the windowsill. Your hands are beginning to strain from the climb. A fall from this height would likely not be fatal, but it would leave you back at square one with only your exhaustion to show for it. Eventually, however, you find yourself just inches away from the windowsill. You're nearly there, and no wild Pokemon has spotted you yet. As you near the windowsill, your hand gets caught against a strand of the vine...wait....
it's gripping around you, and not at all gently at that! Suddenly the vine lifts up and you find yourself face to face with... a Bellsprout, stationed in a flowerpot just by the window. How could you miss it?! At your tiny scale, even a weak Pokemon like this is no joke. Bellsprout is a carnivorous plant that relies on its surprisingly fast reflexes to ensnare and devour small prey...and it seems its predation habits were more than enough to catch you in its grasp! As you gaze over at the Bellsprout's bulb-like head, you notice a ribbon affixed to the side Even its flowerpot bears cutesy accessories; they hardly seem fitting for a plant monster poised to condemn you to an acidic grave.
The Bellsprout's vines begin to further coil around your arm, until almost all of it is wrapped up. You find yourself in a predicament seemingly straight out of a hentai scene. Scantily clad form, sweatsoaked from the climb upwards, is held in the clutches of the giant, ravenous creature's curling vines. You get brought over the windowsill alright...and right towards its waiting maw. Deadly acid seeps from the bellsprout's wide open mouth as it sizes you up with those little beady black eyes of hers. Surely it realizes that you aren't some mere insect...but is that enough to save you? Judging by her indifference to your struggles, you're inclined to believe the answer is 'no.'
You have but a moment to contemplate your next course of action. You could try to fight against this floral menace... or you could shout out for help. You can hear a conversation going on not too far from where you are, after all...
=============
If we define a 'viable attacking move' as a move with base power 60 or higher that matches the user's highest attacking stat, in which generation did Bellsprout first gain a 'viable attacking' move that isn't Grass, Poison, or Normal type? (Not counting hidden power )
